What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trend Curator position at Insight Global?
Overview:
One of our Technology clients is seeking a Trend Curator to support its Content team by identifying, curating, and elevating trending and culturally relevant content. This role plays a key part in keeping users connected to timely conversations, pop culture moments, and emerging creators.
This is a 6 month contract position paying $25/hr. This is a hybrid role, 4 days onsite in Santa Monica. Must be able to work weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and surface timely, trending, and culturally relevant content
- Monitor daily trends, tentpole moments, and real-time events impacting the community
- Review and moderate user-submitted content in real time
- Collaborate with Trend Curators and Producers to curate engaging content experiences
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, moderation, and product teams to resolve issues
- Identify and support emerging creators and fresh content sources
Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in digital media, social, or content-driven environments
- Strong understanding of short-form video trends, pop culture, and current events
- Deep familiarity with Gen Z/Gen Alpha audiences
- Strong editorial judgment and content curation skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings/weekends)
Preferred:
- Interest in social media and short-form content across multiple platforms
