Insight Global is seeking a Title Agent for a leading utility engineering and construction client supporting large-scale infrastructure projects. This role focuses on performing detailed title research and building permanent parcel files to support Right of Way acquisition efforts. The Title Agent will work closely with Right of Way, survey, design, and construction teams to ensure property ownership is accurate, title issues are resolved, and projects proceed without legal or access delays. Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Right of Way / title-related experience
- At least ~1 year of title examiner or title research experience (residential preferred)
- Strong experience performing full title searches and curative title work
- Ability to research public records and courthouse documentation
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Plusses:
- Background in commercial real estate research
- Prior experience supporting Right of Way acquisition teams
- Familiarity with easements, permits, and land agreements
- Experience coordinating with survey, design, or construction teams
- Comfortable reading and interpreting project plans
Day-to-Day:
- Research public records to identify land and property ownership
- Perform full title searches and identify defects and curative actions
- Create and maintain permanent parcel and landowner files
- Review and interpret deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses
- Support Right of Way acquisition activities and negotiations as needed
- Secure civil permits for construction and maintenance projects
- Serve as liaison between internal teams, municipalities, and property owners
- Resolve encroachments, landowner complaints, and damage claims
- Maintain accurate landowner contact records and documentation
- Enter and track project data within internal project management systems
- Occasional courthouse visits (typically ~1x per week; most work in-office)
