Test Technician
Location: Vancouver, WA
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (flexibility to start at 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM)
Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Test Technician to join a leading design and manufacturing company in Vancouver, WA. This individual will be responsible for the assembly, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic components and sub-assemblies. The role is approximately 50% assembly and 50% testing, working closely with a small team of assemblers and technicians in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Assemble, set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot electronic components and sub-assemblies.
- Perform testing by following test procedures, drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
- Conduct surface mount soldering and rework activities, including:
- Changing resistors
- Soldering wires
- Working with surface mount components
- Utilize testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters to evaluate product performance and functionality.
- Document testing results and assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with assemblers and production personnel to ensure quality standards are met.
- Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of electronic test technician experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience assembling electronic components and sub-assemblies.
- Hands-on soldering experience, including surface mount components, wire soldering, and component replacement.
- Ability to read and follow test procedures, drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and other electronic testing equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous IPC certification or other soldering certification.
- Experience using SAP.
- Associate degree in Electronics or related field.
- Experience with non-leaded soldering processes.
