System Administrator

A high-power defense laser company is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide Level 2 support across Windows and Linux environments, with a strong focus on Linux administration and infrastructure operations. This role will be responsible for managing servers, virtualized environments, network infrastructure, and end-user support while also playing a key role in cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Linux experience, strong networking knowledge, and an interest in vulnerability management, system hardening, and cyber threat mitigation.

Location: Longmont, CO (5 days onsite)

Qualifications

Required

• 2 years of Linux system administration experience, preferably Ubuntu.
• Strong networking background with troubleshooting and infrastructure support experience.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux environments.
• Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience supporting servers, virtualization technologies, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Ability to provide Level 2 technical support and resolve complex system issues.
• Interest or experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and system hardening.

Preferred

• Active or previous Security Clearance.
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to cyber threat analysis, risk mitigation, and security monitoring initiatives.
