We are seeking an experienced Division Supplier Development Manager to lead supplier development initiatives across a large division or multiple value streams. This role plays a critical part in managing work transfer processes, resolving chronic supply shortages, and proactively identifying and mitigating risk using predictive analytics. The ideal candidate is a strong cross‑functional leader who thrives in manufacturing environments and is passionate about continuous improvement and lean enterprise systems.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the division supply chain team to reduce chronic shortages and address systemic supply base issues
- Lead cross‑functional, high‑performance teams to drive work transfer velocity and improve supplier performance
- Provide leadership and oversight to division and contract field resources supporting supplier development objectives
- Collaborate with peers across divisions and group leadership to align strategies and share best practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, delivery, service, and cost within the supplier base
- Establish and manage preferred supplier selection criteria, including evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, and regulatory compliance
- Develop, benchmark, and track supplier performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and accountability
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and customers while representing the division at a high level
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 20–25% annually, including on‑site supplier engagement
Who You’ll Work With
This role reports directly to the Division Supply Chain Manager and works closely with leaders across operations, engineering, quality, marketing, lean, program management, and finance. You may also supervise supplier development personnel and external contract resources.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing or operations environments
- Experience working with or supporting operations, quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams
- Strong project planning, supplier oversight, and cross‑functional leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive results
- Solid understanding of production technologies, business environments, and regulatory considerations
- Passion for continuous improvement, lean systems, and positive change
Compensation:
$111,000 – $195,000 per year annual salary.
