Day to day:
Insight Global is looking to hire on a Structural/Civil Engineer for a large manufacturing client in the Charlotte, NC area. This position is responsible for project management and process engineering services. The position will involve projects in their full scope from initial estimating, proposal submission, construction, and start-up. The position will also be available to assist manufacturing plants with safety, quality, process optimization, and productivity improvements. Responsibilities include:
• Design and evaluate structural steel systems, mezzanines, and concrete foundations for industrial and manufacturing facilities
• Provide engineering judgment on life-safety–related issues, including damage assessments
• Support plant-driven projects including facility expansions, equipment additions, and repairs
• Serve as an internal engineering resource for plant teams and non-technical stakeholders
• Travel to plant locations as needed
• Coordinate with external engineering firms for stamped drawings and permitting
Compensation:
$110K to $140K.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
