Software Engineer III

We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join a collaborative Agile development team focused on building and modernizing enterprise applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on full-stack developer with strong experience in the Microsoft technology stack and a passion for developing scalable web applications and APIs.

The team is actively modernizing legacy solutions and moving toward API-driven architectures, making strong API development experience a key requirement. This position will contribute to the design, development, support, and enhancement of both internal and customer-facing applications while working closely with business and technology partners.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in C#, .NET, Angular, SQL Server, and REST API development, along with the ability to work independently, contribute to technical design discussions, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core
• Build and enhance modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript
• Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs and integration services
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and other developers to deliver business solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance challenges
• Support modernization efforts by enhancing existing applications and developing new solutions
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions
• Develop reusable components and services that improve consistency and efficiency across applications
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects within SQL Server
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• 5 years of software development experience
• Strong experience with C# and the Microsoft .NET platform
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and service-based applications
• Experience with Angular and TypeScript
• Experience with ASP.NET Core and modern .NET development practices
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries and stored procedures
• Experience with Git or other source control technologies
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with .NET 8 or newer
• Experience with Blazor Server and/or Blazor WebAssembly
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Experience integrating with third-party systems and APIs
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms to improve developer productivity and software delivery
