Job Description:
Insight Global's client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support facility improvements, capital projects, and complex engineering initiatives within a large-scale production environment. This is an opportunity to take ownership of structural engineering efforts from concept development through construction support while working on impactful site upgrades, equipment installations, facility modifications, and multidisciplinary projects.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- 10 years of structural engineering experience
- Strong experience with structural steel and reinforced concrete design
- Experience developing engineering design packages from concept through construction
- Background performing structural calculations, building assessments, and structural modifications
- Knowledge of structural engineering codes and standards
- Ability to work independently and lead technical project efforts
- Comfortable performing plant walkdowns and supporting projects in an operating facility
Responsibilities:
- Develop structural engineering design packages for facility and capital projects
- Perform structural steel and reinforced concrete design
- Conduct structural assessments, calculations, and building evaluations
- Support equipment installations, anchorage design, and facility modifications
- Lead design reviews, scope development, cost estimates, and project planning activities
- Provide construction support, field verification, and engineering troubleshooting
- Partner with operations, construction teams, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Support seismic evaluations and structural rehabilitation projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Industrial, manufacturing, DOE, or nuclear experience
- STAAD.Pro experience
- CAD drafting experience
- 3D structural modeling experience
- Experience managing external engineering firms and multidisciplinary projects
Salary : $65 - $85
