This individual will oversee a regional portfolio of projects from pre-construction through closeout, with full accountability for financial performance, execution strategy, and client satisfaction.
This is a highly visible, client-facing leadership role that blends project management, construction oversight, and pre-sales collaboration.
Overview / Job Description
The Senior Project Delivery Consultant is responsible for the profitable delivery of complex commercial construction and building systems projects. This role partners closely with sales teams early in the project lifecycle to shape scope, pricing, and risk strategy while ensuring seamless execution through construction completion.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience managing large-scale, multi-system construction projects (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, energy) across institutional or commercial environments such as campuses, healthcare systems, or municipal infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales teams during early project phases to define scope, pricing strategies, and risk mitigation plans
- Develop and review project estimates, schedules, and execution strategies
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across a regional portfolio
- Assign and oversee Construction Managers and project resources
- Control scope, approve change orders, and ensure accurate execution plans
- Own project financials including P&L, margins, cash flow, forecasting, and billing
- Manage subcontractor relationships and hold vendors accountable to performance standards
- Maintain consistent client engagement throughout the project lifecycle
- Enforce site safety standards, compliance protocols, and company procedures
- Report project performance, risks, and forecasts to senior leadership
- Participate in monthly financial and operational reviews
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 10 years of experience in project delivery within construction, installation, or infrastructure projects
- 5 years of leadership or management experience
- Strong background in commercial building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, energy systems)
- Experience managing project financials (P&L, margins, forecasting, billing, cash flow)
- Experience supporting sales and pre-construction activities
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Experience with tools such as MS Project and Excel
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive results
