Insight Global is hiring a Senior Network Engineer for one of our top healthcare clients in Charlotte, North Carolina. This person will support mission-critical network infrastructure, maintaining and enhancing enterprise network systems while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to networking projects.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain enterprise network performance across hospitals, clinics, and administrative sites
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 network issues; escalate to vendors or Tier 3 as needed
- Implement and support moderate- to high-risk network changes in mission-critical environments
- Install physical and logical network components (routers, switches, cabling, UPS, etc.)
- Collaborate with internal IS teams and external vendors to ensure stable connectivity
- Mentor and support junior engineers by sharing technical knowledge and best practices
- Assist with and occasionally lead networking projects and infrastructure initiatives
- Track, trend, and drive resolution of recurring network issues
- Develop and document network standards, processes, and configurations
- Support after-hours maintenance windows and on-call rotations
- Travel regionally as required to support network infrastructure needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience installing and supporting enterprise network systems
- Strong hands-on experience with routers, switches, cabling, UPS, and network hardware
- Knowledge of network protocols, routing protocols, wireless, and broadband
- Experience supporting mission-critical environments
- Strong understanding of IPAM / DNS / DHCP
- Ability to independently implement moderate- to high-risk network changes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to obtain CCNP or higher within first year of hire
- Must be comfortable with regional travel based on networking needs
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment
- Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, etc.)
- Experience leading or contributing to networking projects
- Familiarity with change management processes
Pay range and compensation package
Pay Rate: $47.50 – $71.25/hour
Salary : $48 - $71
