Required Skills & Experience

Position Requirements:

• 6 years of professional full-stack software development experience with a strong focus on hands-on coding.

• Advanced, expert-level proficiency writing clean code in C# and the .NET framework (.NET Core / .NET 6 / .NET 8 ), alongside modern front-end web technologies, including hands-on experience building single-page applications with Vue.js.

• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and managing cloud-native .NET applications within the Azure Cloud ecosystem.

• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working with relational and analytical data platforms, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and Databricks, including writing performant queries and integrating data access into .NET applications.

• Proven experience assigning work to third-party vendors or managed services teams and conducting strict quality control/code reviews on their deliverables.

• Strong familiarity with software testing methodologies, collaborating with QA teams, and implementing .NET unit/integration tests (e.g., xUnit, NUnit).

• Solid grasp of dependency injection and inversion of control, with hands-on experience using the built-in .NET dependency injection container to build loosely coupled, testable, and maintainable applications.

Education and Experience:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical/industry experience.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Desired: Experience developing console applications or background services or building cross-platform mobile applications as single-page apps using Vue.js with the Quasar framework.

• Desired: Proven track record of leading, mentoring, or acting as a technical lead for a team of developers.

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack .NET Developer to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Pasadena, California. Reporting to our Sr. Manager, Development Operations, this role balances deep, hands-on .NET software coding with technical oversight and vendor direction. You will act as the vital bridge between architectural vision and team execution, maintaining a dotted-line relationship with our Applications Architect to ensure high-velocity, standardized development across our Azure Cloud infrastructure. A key component of this role involves writing clean, production-grade .NET code, directing tasks for managed services vendors, verifying the quality of their deliverables, and partnering closely with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to guarantee robust, thoroughly tested applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive hands-on software development by writing clean, maintainable, and secure code across the entire application stack.

• Partner with the Applications Architect to turn conceptual system blueprints into secure, robust, and scalable cloud applications, as well as desktop and mobile solutions.

• Define clear technical requirements, assign development tasks to external managed services partners, and rigorously review their code to ensure alignment with our clients standards.

• Collaborate actively with the Software Quality Assurance team to design test plans, facilitate automated and manual testing, and ensure overall application stability prior to deployment.

• Build and maintain a diverse application portfolio, focusing heavily on .NET cloud architectures while supporting desktop and mobile initiatives within the Microsoft ecosystem.

• Establish, document, and enforce code quality, security protocols, and CI/CD pipelines across internal and external teams to ensure absolute adherence to architectural standards.

• Conduct pairing sessions, code reviews, and workshops to help junior and mid-level developers level up their development, architectures, and overall engineering skills.

• Ensure all internal developers and external partners understand and follow our core design patterns, minimizing technical debt.

• Build and maintain responsive, component-driven front-end interfaces, integrating them cleanly with back-end services to deliver a high-quality user experience.
