Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant for one of our enterprise clients in Chattanooga, TN. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in GAAP, experience supporting audits, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This role will also contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a dynamic accounting environment.
Day-to-Day:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for accuracy and completeness
- Support month-end close and assist with financial statement preparation
- Perform account reconciliations across GL and intercompany accounts
- Compile and analyze financial data to create journal entries
- Assist in audit readiness and respond to auditor requests
- Process sales and use tax filings and refund requests
- Partner with subsidiaries to ensure accurate intercompany reporting
- Review sales documentation for billing and revenue recognition
- Generate and distribute regular reports to leadership
- Provide backup support for cost accounting and inventory processes
- Maintain documentation and support continuous process improvements
Must-Have Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience with month-end close processes
- Hands-on experience with account reconciliations (GL & balance sheet)
- Audit support experience (financial, SOX, or tax audits)
- Experience preparing financial reports and journal entries
- Exposure to sales & use tax filings
- Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Nice to Have Experience:
- Multi-state tax experience (sales & use)
- Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Exposure to cost accounting functions
- Experience supporting system implementations or improvements
- Background in inventory processes or budgeting support
- Experience working with subsidiaries or multi-entity environments
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
