Title: SAP BASIS Team Lead

Location: Solon, OH - Hybrid (1-2 days a week onsite per week)

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 10% Bonus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
• 10 years of SAP experience, including 7 years of hands-on SAP BASIS administration
• Experience supporting SAP in hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud)
• Prior people leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to support off-hours business needs as required

Day-to-Day:

The SAP BASIS Team Lead is responsible for the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise SAP landscape while leading and developing a small team of BASIS professionals. This role owns hands-on SAP system administration across a hybrid environment and serves as the technical escalation point for SAP platform operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on administration of SAP systems, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and support across ECC, S/4HANA, BTP, and integrated components
• Manage SAP high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), system monitoring, backups, and restorations to ensure platform reliability
• Proactively monitor the SAP landscape, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution and prevention
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2–6 SAP BASIS associates, setting goals, delegating work, and ensuring consistent service delivery
• Oversee incidents, service requests, and change management to ensure timely resolution and high customer satisfaction
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to deliver SAP solutions aligned to operational and strategic needs
• Contribute to technology roadmaps, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain SAP BASIS documentation, standards, and best practices
