Title: Quality Supervisor
Location: Cleveland, OH 44110
Pay Rate: $50-60/hr
Required skills:
- Minimum of 3 years quality experience (with experience leading and/or mentoring junior team members)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- Automotive or aerospace background strongly preferred
- Technical skill is a priority (leadership can be developed)
Day-to-Day:
- Acts as a subject matter expert and technical lead for complex issues, training QEs, technicians, and other stakeholders
- Oversees 5 direct reports of QEs (each oversee ~10-12 technicians)
- Drive prioritization across value stream by identifying top contributors to scrap and non-performance / downtime
- 4 value streams in B5: shell manufacturing, commercial finishing, and 2 DOW product lines
- Lead Tier 1 & 2 reporting and support Tier 3 escalations
Other Essential Duties and Functions:
- Deliver targeted improvement towards Scrap, MRB, Non-Conformance, and In-Process Correction by Value Stream
- Standardize quality standards and processes across Value Streams
- Lead Customer Complaints, Corrective & Preventative Action, and Root Cause Analysis resulting in sustainable Quality improvements
- Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement
- Support and/or Lead Quality Kaizen
- Support New Product Introduction
- Safety observations are quickly communicated and escalated where necessary
