Job Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Quality Inspector to support inspection activities within a large-scale aerospace manufacturing environment in the Charleston area. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products meet strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and experience working within quality-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect products, components, and materials to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to guide inspection processes
- Provide clear guidance to production or mechanical teams on required repairs or corrections
- Utilize manual and automated measurement tools to verify product accuracy and performance
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including documentation and reporting of findings
- Maintain accurate inspection records and support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all inspection work is performed safely and in accordance with established procedures
Required Qualifications
- 3 year of quality inspection or quality assurance experience (manufacturing or aerospace preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and quality documents
- Experience working with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with production teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality standards
- Experience with inspection documentation and reporting tools
