Job Description
An As-Built QA/QC Experts (2) with a GIS focus bridges the gap between field construction and digital asset management. They validate, clean, and integrate spatial data from engineering drawings into an enterprise geodatabase, ensuring the built environment matches standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drawing & Redline Review: Interpret engineering plans, hand sketches, and construction redlines to extract critical spatial and attribute information.
- Data Validation & Acceptance Testing (DAT): Execute rigorous Data Acceptance Testing on conflated datasets, validating that field-collected assets match engineering records and client specifications.
- As-Built Digitizing & Editing: Update spatial and attribute data in enterprise GIS platforms (e.g., Esri ArcGIS) to reflect real-world network conditions and exact as-built measurements.
- QA/QC Enforcement: Identify, document, and categorize defects or misalignments in the data. Remove unverified/retired facilities and ensure zero discrepancies between the completed project and the quality documentation.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain traceability by ensuring datasets meet regulatory requirements, standards, and internal standards.
