A client of Insight Global is seeking a Property Accountant for our growing healthcare real estate client based in Pensacola, FL. This person will support a portfolio of 15-20 commercial healthcare real estate properties, including both single-tenant and multi-tenant assets. This role is responsible for the full accounting cycle for assigned properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly close activities, financial reporting, budgeting support, and joint venture reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with property managers and tenants, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage accounting activities for a portfolio of 15-20 commercial healthcare properties.
• Process vendor invoices and maintain vendor records.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payments, account maintenance, and invoice inquiries.
• Enter tenant receipts and monitor cash activity.
• Analyze tenant accounts receivable balances and communicate with tenants regarding outstanding balances.
• Prepare and update cash flow projections.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations.
• Assist with accounting activities related to property acquisitions and dispositions, including opening and closing entries.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger close activities in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare journal entries related to:
• Accruals
• Prepaid expenses
• Reclassifications
• CAM true-up accruals
• Other recurring month-end adjustments
• Work closely with property managers to gather and validate accrual information.
Required Skills & Experience
• 1-2 years of experience in commercial property accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related discipline preferred
• Yardi experience
