Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to support large-scale capital projects and programs through the development, maintenance, and oversight of complex project schedules. This role is ideal for a scheduling professional with deep expertise in Primavera P6 who can independently lead scheduling activities, facilitate schedule review meetings, and collaborate with project teams to drive successful project execution.
As a senior member of the Project Controls organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, supporting change management and reporting efforts, providing schedule analysis and forecasting, and mentoring junior project controls professionals. Projects are typically high-profile, high-complexity initiatives with budgets ranging from $100 million to $500 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Lead schedule review meetings with project teams, stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
- Collaborate with project managers and project teams to gather information and update project schedules.
- Identify schedule risks, critical path activities, and potential delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support project controls reporting, schedule performance tracking, forecasting, and change management activities.
- Ensure schedule consistency, quality, and adherence to project controls standards and best practices.
- Provide schedule analysis and reporting at the project, program, and portfolio levels.
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to other project controls professionals.
- Interface with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to support project execution and reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Studies, or a related field.
- 7 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera P6.
- In lieu of a degree, 11 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera P6.
- Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling principles, methodologies, and controls.
- Primavera P6
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- PMI or AACE certification, including:
- PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE
- Experience with project controls and business systems such as:
- Microsoft Office Suite, Business Objects, Prolog, Passport, Visio, Maximo, PeopleSoft
- Risk Management Software
