What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Insight Global?
Owner’s Rep – Quality & Commissioning (Data Center Construction) – Onsite (Wichita Falls/Vernon, TX)
We’re hiring an Owner’s Representative to support a Data Center program, focused on the Quality & Commissioning side of construction. This is a highly visible, onsite role where you’ll act as eyes and ears—helping ensure contractors, vendors, and commissioning activities align with program requirements.
This is not a hands-on trade role (no physical installation). It’s a leadership/oversight position driving coordination, quality, schedule, and commissioning progress across a mission-critical build.
Location / Schedule
- Fully onsite at a data center project in Wichita Falls or Vernon, TX (north TX near the OK border)
- Must be able to live locally (relocation support can be structured creatively)
- Typical workload 40–50 hrs/week with 1.5x overtime
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the onsite Owner’s Rep supporting QA/QC and commissioning execution
- Spend ~50% in the construction trailer/office and ~50% walking the site
- Partner with GCs, electrical/mechanical vendors, commissioning agents, and client stakeholders
- Track and communicate quality, schedule, cost, and commissioning progress
- Identify issues early, escalate appropriately, and push items to resolution
- Provide clear updates via email/chat and occasionally present to leadership (basic PPT)
What We’re Looking For
- 8–10 years of construction experience (full lifecycle: early build → turnover)
- Experience in data centers / mission-critical facilities preferred (ideally 50MW ; hyperscale environments a plus)
- Familiarity with commissioning phases Level 1–Level 5 (able to explain what you’ve supported)
- Strong “lead-through-influence” style: calm, even-keel, professional, able to hold vendors accountable
- Comfortable with tools like Bluebeam, Procore, BIM360/ACC, and any commissioning platforms
- Bachelor’s degree required
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
