Project Manager

Duration: 8-month contract, potential extensions, potential permanent

Compensation: $48-$52/hr.

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead small capital renovation projects within an institutional environment. This role requires a highly motivated, self-directed professional who can independently manage multiple projects from early planning through closeout with minimal oversight. The projects are primarily interior renovations, light on major infrastructure upgrades, and require hands-on leadership, strong organization, and consistent follow-through.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for defining project goals, developing realistic budgets and schedules, and driving execution while maintaining alignment with stakeholder expectations. Acting as the primary point of contact, this individual will build trust with stakeholders, clearly communicate scopes and deliverables, and manage external influences that may impact project outcomes. While onboarding will include orientation to internal processes and systems, success in this role depends on the ability to step in and run projects confidently from day one.

This position requires guiding projects through planning, design coordination, contractor procurement, and construction execution. The Senior Project Manager will oversee contractor and vendor performance, facilitate key meetings, manage risks, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to expected quality standards. Strong judgment, adaptability, and emotional intelligence are essential, as the role operates in an environment with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in construction project management
• Proven experience managing capital renovation projects from start to finish with minimal oversight
