What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Manager position at Insight Global?
We are seeking a Temporary Sourcing Manager to support our Indirect Procurement team during a period of transition. This role will serve as a backfill for team coverage gaps across key categories while a permanent hire is finalized and during a temporary leave on the team.
This individual will play a hands-on role managing sourcing initiatives across Logistics, R&D, and MRO/Facilities, with flexibility to support additional indirect categories as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned indirect categories (Logistics, R&D, MRO/Facilities)
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFP/RFQ development, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and align sourcing strategy to business needs Manage supplier relationships, including performance tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct market analysis and cost benchmarking to identify savings opportunities and optimize vendor selection
- Support contract lifecycle activities, including drafting, reviewing, and tracking agreements and renewals
- Ensure sourcing activities are compliant with internal procurement policies and standards
- Drive process improvements and support ongoing procurement initiatives
- Operate in a hands-on, execution-focused capacity, stepping into active projects and delivering immediate value
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
- Strong experience in indirect sourcing and category management
- Proven ability to manage multiple categories or projects simultaneously
- Experience leading RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and quickly ramp in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Logistics, R&D, or MRO/Facilities sourcing categories
- Background in a regulated or complex enterprise environment
- Familiarity with procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar platforms)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
