What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Analyst position at Insight Global?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting with the preparation and processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls for over 300 employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets
- Track and deduct all garnishments, pay levies, and other special payroll deductions
- Administration of the electronic timekeeping system, monitor submissions of approved timesheets, ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll software
- Review payroll changes for proper authorization and adherence to Fairlead policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations
- Assist in processing the filing of weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll taxes and payroll deductions.
- Assist with weekly AP processing and yearly W-2 preparation
- Prepare GL reconciliations/journal entries weekly and monthly
- Process HSA uploads and 401k weekly submissions
- Assist in preparation for 401k yearly audit, workman's compensation yearly audit, and state act audit
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance required, Accounting Degree preferred
- 2 years of payroll experience required
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
- Costpoint experience preferred
- Microsoft office and excel at intermediate to advanced level
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding issues and concerns
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure

- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
