Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative with expertise in forming and shoring solutions. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and serving as a technical resource throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with construction knowledge and understands how forming and shoring systems contribute to safe and successful concrete construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial construction, infrastructure, concrete, and industrial markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, superintendents, and project managers.
- Evaluate customer project requirements and recommend appropriate forming and shoring systems.
- Provide technical consultation during project planning and execution phases.
- Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications to develop customized solutions.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans designed to achieve growth and revenue objectives.
- Prepare proposals, quote, and bid packages to secure project awards.
- Negotiate contracts while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Monitor market conditions, construction activity, competitor activity, and emerging industry trends.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, logistics, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain accurate activity, opportunity, and pipeline reporting within CRM systems.
Must-Have Requirements
- At least 3 years of successful outside sales experience within construction, forming and shoring, scaffolding, concrete construction, temporary works, or related specialty construction industries.
- Strong understanding of forming and shoring systems, including conventional, engineered, and modular solutions.
- Knowledge of concrete construction processes and structural requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering documents, and project specifications.
- Experience building relationships with contractors and construction stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency utilizing CRM software and managing a sales pipeline.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience working for Aluma Systems, Doka, PERI, MEVA, ULMA, EFCO, Acrow, or similar forming and shoring competitors.
- Existing contractor relationships throughout Southwest Florida.
Salary: $75,000-$95,000 base with commission
Work Week: Monday - Friday onsite
