Oracle Financial Techno-Functional Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Oracle Software Engineer with a strong techno-functional Oracle Financials background to support a large enterprise environment in Cleveland, OH.

This is not a heads-down software development position. The ideal candidate is someone who understands Oracle Financials from both a systems and business-process perspective and is comfortable serving as a bridge between Finance/business stakeholders and IT teams.

This individual will work within an established Oracle environment, supporting ongoing enhancements, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, testing, and business requests. The strongest candidates will have hands-on experience with General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash Management, along with the ability to understand Finance requirements, translate them into solutions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Finance, business, and IT stakeholders to understand requirements, issues, and enhancement requests
• Support and enhance an established Oracle Financials environment
• Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams, translating business needs into system requirements and solutions
• Support Oracle Financials modules, with an emphasis on General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management
• Troubleshoot functional and system issues and use SQL to support analysis and problem resolution
• Participate in system maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, testing, and production support
• Analyze existing Finance processes and recommend improvements
• Develop functional and technical documentation
• Coordinate testing and validation with business users and IT teams
• Provide ongoing support to Finance users and help resolve application and process-related issues

Required Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant Oracle Financials experience
• Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Financials
• Hands-on experience with:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Cash Management / Cash Flow
• Experience supporting and enhancing an existing enterprise Oracle environment
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with Finance/accounting stakeholders and IT teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to discuss Oracle Financials from both the business-process and systems perspective
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Fusion / Oracle Financials Cloud experience
• Experience with enterprise Oracle upgrades and enhancements
• Oracle Cloud certifications
• Experience within a large enterprise or Oracle consulting/implementation environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $116,000-$150,000
