Network Technician

Must be open to any of the following potential shifts:

• Mon- Fri 15:00-23:30
• Sat-Tue 17:00-03:00
• Fri-Mon 22:00-08:00

Must Haves:

• Previous experience working in a Data Center
• Experience with basic networking tasks
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills, documentation skills a must.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Must be a self-starter, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing requirements, processes, and environment.
• Must have reliable cell phone service with email capabilities.

Job Description:

A customer of Insight Global is looking for an Network Technician to support their Large Enterprise Data Center. The ideal person will be self-driven and highly motivated to provide excellent support with little to no supervision. This position is dynamic and will require a wide range of tasks such as conducting audits, supporting change control, troubleshooting, etc.

Operational Duties:

• Effectively multitask, communicate proactively, and have excellent time management skills.
• Build, maintain, and revise processes to ensure efficient break/fix and communication activities.
• Ensure customer experience with products is second to none.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for escorting unbadged people when appropriate.
• Updating, adding, and closing incident activity.
• Concise, proactive communication with geographically dispersed team members.
• Train new team members on products, operational support, and best practices.
• Responsible for monitoring tickets and managing appropriately.
• Serve as On-site Point-of-Contact
