Position: NDT Inspector II
Location: Newport News, VA
Hours: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm
Compensation: $30-$40/hr (dependent on years of experience)
Insight Global is looking for an NDT Inspector II to support our federal client in Newport News, VA. Candidates should be able to perform inspections independently, read shipyard drawings, evaluate defects, prepare reports, and work closely with QA and production teams supporting Navy vessel maintenance and repair activities.
- High School Diploma, Trade School, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of related NDT, QA, or shipyard structural supervisory experience.
- Current NDT Level II certifications (VT and MT a must, PT a plus).
- Ability to obtain company NDT qualifications within 90 days of hire.
- Working knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items MIL-STD-271 and MIL-STD-1689.
- Ability to read and interpret NAVSEA drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience working in a shipyard, naval maintenance, or marine industrial environment.
- Ability to work effectively with QA teams, inspectors, and production personnel.
Salary : $30 - $40
