What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEP Coordinator position at Insight Global?
MEP Coordinator supporting senior staff during installation and commissioning of mission-critical electrical systems (e.g., UPS, switchgear). Works under supervision, assists with documentation, inspections, safety, and coordination across field teams.
Travel Requirement: This is a project-based, travel-heavy role. Candidates can be located anywhere in the U.S. but must be willing to travel nationwide and work on-site at project locations for the duration of assigned projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist with reviews of drawings, submittals, equipment lists, and commissioning requirements; capture corrective actions in Procore.
- Support site inspections, TMS inspection/termination, PQM and punch-list closeout, and yellow-tag inspections.
- Contribute to weekly MEP status reporting; attend project meetings and track action items.
- Follow LOTO and PPE requirements; uphold site safety and quality standards.
- Maintain documentation (photos, checklists, punch items) and communicate status/risks to project leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3β5 years construction experience (electrical preferred); 2 years trade school/college or journeyman equivalent.
- Proficient in Procore and Adobe/PDF editing; adept at reading blueprints/submittals/specs/one-lines.
- Working knowledge of ATS/UPS/switchgear; exposure to commissioning and EPMS/SCADA concepts.
Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
