Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Goose Creek, SC. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being on the plant floor, solving production problems, improving processes, and partnering closely with operations and maintenance teams.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved safety, quality, throughput, reliability, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production and process issues by identifying root causes and developing sustainable corrective actions.
- Use production data and process observations to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, downtime, defects, and process variation.
- Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Support process changes, equipment improvements, trials, and implementation of new manufacturing methods.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, and operating standards.
- Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor working directly with operators and technical teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing, heavy industrial, or high-volume production environment.
- Hands-on experience with process improvement, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to analyze manufacturing data and translate findings into practical process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and plant operations.
- Comfortable working hands-on in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
