Inventory & Supply Chain Technician – Data Center Operations
Location: North lake, IL 60164
Rate: $20–$24/hour
Type: 3 month Contract, extensions up to 18 months / Temp-to-Hire based on performance
Schedule: May include weekends and holidays
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Inventory & Supply Chain Technician to support high-volume data center operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for process improvement in IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned inventory and supply chain tasks with minimal supervision
- Escalate issues appropriately during high-volume or exception-based scenarios
- Perform inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and compliance-related activities
- Track and update shipping/receiving information using inventory management systems
- Destroy data-bearing devices (DBDs) following strict procedural guidelines
- Support regulatory and certification control audits as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- 1 year experience in supply chain, inventory, or retail management within an IT environment
- Prior experience with inventory management systems (e.g., tracking POs, updating shipping/receiving logs)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent attitude, eager to learn, dependable, and proactive
