Insight Global is seeking a Lab Technician to provide hands‑on technical support to the Materials Development Engineering group in a fast‑paced, dynamic laboratory environment. This role supports a wide range of metallurgical and materials testing activities, with day‑to‑day priorities frequently shifting while the core nature of the work remains consistent. Responsibilities include metallography work such as cutting, mounting, and polishing test samples and engine hardware; assisting with engine hardware photography and metallurgical documentation; performing general microscopy including optical and scanning electron microscopy; and supporting small‑scale coating evaluations including hardness and erosion testing. The Lab Technician will also assist with project‑related tasks such as test coupon handling, material preparation, and shipping logistics. This role requires the ability to routinely handle and transport materials and boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across laboratory and office settings. Strong performers with an interest in materials science will have opportunities to expand their scope and support additional materials and testing methods over time.
