IT Deployment Technician

Position: Windows 11 Deployment Technician

Location: Austin, TX 78752

Schedule: M-F 8-5

Duration: 3 month contract

Desired Skillset:

· Hands-on experience performing enterprise Windows 10 to Windows 11 migrations.

· Strong knowledge of Windows desktop support, workstation imaging, operating system deployment, and Microsoft 365.

· Experience supporting user profile migrations, including OneDrive backups and data transfers.

· Experience troubleshooting printers, hardware, peripherals, and software issues.

· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced deployment environment while providing excellent customer support.

Nice-to-Have

· Experience supporting Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC environments.

· Experience with endpoint management and deployment tools such as ManageEngine Endpoint Central, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), or similar solutions.

· Endpoint Central experience is highly preferred.

· Formal technical training or related education is a plus; equivalent work experience will be considered.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Windows 11 Deployment Technician to support an enterprise-wide migration of approximately 800 desktop and laptop devices. This individual will be responsible for imaging, deploying, troubleshooting, and upgrading Windows workstations while providing hands-on support to end users throughout the migration process.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a healthcare and behavioral health environment and understands the importance of professionalism, confidentiality, and providing excellent customer service to staff who support patient care.

Responsibilities

· Perform Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades across desktop and laptop environments.

· Image, configure, and deploy devices according to organizational standards.

· Migrate user profiles, OneDrive data, and settings while ensuring successful post-deployment functionality.

· Install, configure, and validate required applications, printers, security software, and device configurations.

· Troubleshoot hardware, software, driver, printer, and peripheral issues during deployment.

· Verify hardware compatibility and resolve upgrade-related issues.
