Insight Global is seeking an IT Project Manager for a large utility customer in Pittsburgh, PA. The Project Manager will lead end to end delivery of IT projects, including scope definition, requirements gathering, budgeting, scheduling, and implementation. They will also be responsible for requirements analysis and process mapping, vendor and contract oversight, schedule and budget management, risk and issue mitigation, and change management and training support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related
- 3-5 years of IT project management experience
- Experience delivering enterprise-level IT projects (apps, integrations, infrastructure, or grid-tech.)
- PM Tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps
- Great communication and ability to work with shareholders, vendors and colleagues
Plusses:
- PMP, PMI‑ACP, or equivalent certification
- Experience with Monarch Platform (SCADA, OMS, eMap, liteMotif, etc), GIS, CIS, asset/work management, or SCADA‑adjacent systems
- Familiarity with NERC CIP and utility cybersecurity frameworks
Responsibilities:
- Manage project lifecycles using formal methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, risk logs, communication plans, and status reports.
- Partner with operations, engineering, customer service, field services, and regulatory to align project objectives with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with technical teams—including infrastructure, applications, security, and vendors—to ensure smooth execution and integration of solutions.
- Manage projects involving utility specific systems such as:
- Outage Management Systems (OMS)
- SCADA/EMS systems and interfaces
- GIS and asset management systems (e.g., ESRI, Maximo)
- Manage third party technology partners, integrators, and service providers.
- Coordinate RFP processes, vendor selection, SOWs, and performance oversight
