Title: HVAC Technician
Pay: $25-$32/Hour
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Required Skills
- EPA Certification (Universal or Type I/II/III) with a solid understanding of environmental and refrigerant handling regulations
- Hands-on experience working with R‑410A and other common HVAC refrigerants, including proper charging, recovery, and leak detection
- Experience servicing commercial and/or industrial HVAC equipment, such as RTUs, split systems, make‑up air units, chillers, or packaged systems
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC issues and perform repairs safely and efficiently
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial facility, supporting equipment uptime and production needs
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Preferred Skills
- Additional EPA certifications or advanced refrigerant handling credentials
- Experience with refrigeration systems supporting manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with BMS/BAS systems or automated building controls
- Background working in regulated or safety‑focused environments (manufacturing, chemical, food & beverage, etc.)
- HVAC-related trade school or technical training

Insight Global is seeking an HVAC Technician to join a manufacturing client in Colonial Heights, VA. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems that support a high‑production manufacturing environment.
Salary : $25 - $32
