Title: People Operations Specialist
Duration: 6-month contract
Location: San Francisco, CA (3 days a week onsite)
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Insight Global is seeking a People Operations Specialist to support the People Operations/ People Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the employee lifecycle while ensuring operational excellence, accuracy, and a strong employee experience. The People Operations Specialist will partner closely with cross‑functional teams including Workplace, IT, and business stakeholders to support onboarding, offboarding, employee inquiries, and People Ops processes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or People Ops Associate roles within the tech space
- Experience supporting onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle documentation
- Strong data entry skills with experience using Workday or similar HRIS tools
- Experience answering employee questions related to People Ops processes and policies
- Ability to coordinate with cross‑functional partners including Workplace, IT, and business stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to document processes accurately
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments and managing multiple priorities
PLUSSES:
- Experience preparing separation agreements and employment documentation
- Experience presenting information or updates to groups or stakeholders
- Prior experience supporting high‑growth or tech environments
DAY-TO-DAY:
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transitions, and offboarding
- Maintain and update employee data across People systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare employment documentation including new‑hire paperwork and separation agreements
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, escalating when appropriate
- Coordinate closely with Workplace, IT, and business partners to support employee needs
- Present or support People Ops updates, including bi‑weekly or internal communications
- Partner cross‑functionally while working independently with a high level of ownership
- Support ongoing People Ops projects and process improvements
Compensation: $23-$27/hour, depending on experience
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
