Field Technician | San Diego, CA | $24/hr | Contract-to-Hire
Insight Global is hiring 2 Field Technicians for a leading environmental engineering and consulting firm in San Diego. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, using tools, and building a long-term career in a growing technical field.
This company specializes in environmental services, landfill construction, gas collection systems, and environmental compliance projects throughout San Diego County. What You'll Do:
- Monitor, maintain, and repair landfill gas collection systems
- Perform inspections and collect system measurements
- Work with piping, flare systems, gauges, and gas-related equipment
- Use hand and power tools daily
- Support multiple landfill sites throughout San Diego County
- Work alongside engineers, superintendents, construction teams, and experienced field technicians
- Receive hands-on training in environmental systems, repair work, monitoring, and operations
What We're Looking For:
- 3 years of experience in field services, construction, environmental, electrical, oil & gas, solar, maintenance, or related industries
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check

Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Fully onsite
Compensation & Benefits:
- $24/hr during the initial 6-month contract
- Pay increase upon permanent conversion
