Overview
An oil & gas company in Greeley, CO is looking to hire a Brownfield I&E Facilities Engineer to support a large portfolio of facility modification projects across existing upstream production assets. This individual will serve as both the project lead and technical resource, managing projects from initial scope development through construction and commissioning. Day to day, they will coordinate with Operations, Construction, Engineering teams, and EPC partners to develop engineering packages, review drawings, and keep projects moving forward. They will lead MOC activities, ensuring all facility changes are properly documented and maintained within company systems. The role will also provide hands-on electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering support for equipment such as compressors, separators, VRUs, transfer pumps, and tanks. Candidates should have experience with power distribution systems, PLC/SCADA environments, and brownfield project execution in operating facilities. This position is primarily office-based with approximately 20-30% travel to field locations and is ideal for an engineer who can independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. When not working in the field, this person will spend 4 days/week in person in the team's Greeley office.
Qualifications
- 10 years of Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls, or Facilities Engineering experience.
- Professional knowledge and skills in both electrical engineering and instrumentation/controls engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Strong experience supporting brownfield projects within operating oil & gas facilities
- Experience managing multiple projects from engineering design through construction and commissioning
- Familiarity with MOC processes
