What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Field Technician position at Insight Global?
Must Haves:
- HS diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Desire and ability to work outside most of the time
- Ability to learn new processes and utilize field equipment (cameras, iPad, measuring equipment)
- Ability to obtain steel-toed or composite toed boots
- Ability to travel overnight M-Th 50% of the month
Plusses:
- Prior experience in power distribution, utility locating, telecommunications
- Prior fielding experience
Day to Day:
Our client is looking for a Field Technician to join the team! Will work in the field 100% of the week and travel to different sites to inspect power poles for deficiencies and complete data collection. Work is done both individually and in 2-person crews. Drive time is included in work hours. May have overtime if traveling overnight. Will work 10 hours Monday-Thursday on travel weeks, and 8 hours M-Fri when staying local. May travel and stay overnight 2 weeks out of the month-could be in or out of state. Company vehicle, phone and P-card is provided. PPE is provided with the exception of shoes. The ideal candidate will be someone who loves working outdoors and has great attention to detail. Full training is provided.
