JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Energy Service Representative, your day-to-day involves prospecting and building relationships with small businesses in your territory, conducting onsite energy assessments of non-residential buildings to identify opportunities for improvements in lighting, refrigeration, HVAC, and water systems. You’ll analyze customer needs to recommend energy-efficient solutions, prepare and present proposals that outline costs, available utility incentives, and the overall value proposition, and work to secure program enrollment. Maintaining strong communication with customers is essential to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement. You’ll also manage your pipeline, schedule field appointments, and track progress toward sales and proposal goals using internal tools. In addition, you are responsible for representing the company professionally, adhering to safety and employee guidelines, and safeguarding all issued equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience Strong sales-oriented mindset: self-motivated, accountable, and goal-driven Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Proven ability to cold call and generate leads Ability to learn and present energy efficiency solutions (lighting, refrigeration, HVAC, water) Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills Proficiency with technology (iPad, MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams) Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory up to 90% Experience with energy auditing or commercial lighting Ability to pass a drug test (required by client contract)
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
