Overview
Seeking an EMC Engineer to support hardware compliance testing for networking and communications products. This role will focus on EMC testing, regulatory compliance, test planning, and report generation.
Responsibilities
- Perform EMC compliance testing including emissions, immunity, ESD, surge, EFT, voltage dips, harmonics, and flicker.
- Configure hardware and software for EMC testing activities.
- Test networking equipment including switches, routers, servers, access points, IP phones, video products, and security devices.
- Create Test Assessment Plans (TAPs) and EMC test reports.
- Execute testing in accordance with global EMC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Required Skills
- EMC and/or radio testing experience preferred.
- Experience with EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power amplifiers, and power meters.
- Experience with IXIA traffic generators and communication test equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Technical documentation and report writing experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of standards such as:
- IEC/EN 61000-4 Series
- FCC Part 15
- CISPR 24/32/35
- VCCI, ICES, KN32/35
- EN 300 386, EN 55024, EN 55032
- Wireless, Medical, Railway, Marine, Smart Grid, or NEBS compliance standards.
Compensation:
$39/hr
