Role Overview
Our client is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to support electrical construction projects in commercial and industrial environments. This role is ideal for someone coming from the electrical trade who understands field execution and wants to transition into quantity tracking, documentation, and cost validation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Validate installed electrical quantities from subcontractors and internal teams
- Review daily and weekly self-perform tickets and progress reports
- Track crew sizes, work completed, and quantities installed
- Review and validate subcontractor invoices against scope and progress
- Read and interpret electrical drawings (E&I, P&IDs, loop drawings)
- Support reporting with photos, summaries, and Excel-based tracking
- Communicate regularly with field crews, contractors, and site teams
- Assist with quantity tracking for T&M, unit rate, and lump sum work
Required Skills & Experience
- 4 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction
- Electrical background (electrician or foreman experience preferred)
- Hands-on experience with cabling, conduit, lighting, terminations, and substations
- Familiar with large electrical equipment
- Ability to review scopes of work and identify gaps based on field knowledge
- Basic testing and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
- Understanding of progress reporting and construction documentation
- Proficient in Excel
- Self-starter who can hit the ground running

- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
