We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Electrical Designer to support engineering and utility infrastructure projects throughout the Chesapeake area. This is a full-time opportunity ideal for individuals looking to launch their engineering career while contributing to underground and overhead electrical utility design effort
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and drafting of overhead and underground electrical utility distribution projects
- Produce and update drawings, layouts, and technical documentation using AutoCAD
- Support engineers with field assessments, site walks, and collecting design data
- Review specifications, redlines, and design standards to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with cross‑functional project teams to meet schedule and quality expectations
- Participate in both office-based and occasional field-based project activities (aligned with duties noted in internal applicant job descriptions)
Qualifications
- 1 year of relevant experience (including internships, coursework, and school design projects)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Foundational knowledge of power distribution or utility systems
