Insight Global is seeking an experienced Drill Rig Foreman to lead field operations for the installation of noise wall posts and structural footings across highway and utility infrastructure projects in the North East. This role will oversee drilling operations using low drill methods and removable caissons, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution in active construction environments.
This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role requiring strong expertise in vertical drilling, shoring systems, and utility-related construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily field operations for drilling, placement, and installation of noise wall posts and footings
- Operate and oversee crews using low drill rigs and removable caisson systems
- Supervise and coordinate drilling and shoring activities in alignment with engineering specifications
- Direct crews in vertical drilling applications, ensuring accuracy, safety, and structural integrity
- Manage field teams, subcontractors, and equipment on active job sites
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, especially around utilities and power line environments
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to maintain project timelines and deliverables
- Troubleshoot field challenges and adjust drilling/shoring methods as needed
- Perform site setup, planning, and execution across multi-site projects (regional travel required)
- Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and crew productivity tracking
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in drilling, construction, or heavy civil infrastructure
- 5 years of experience as a Foreman or lead in field operations
- Strong background in vertical drilling and shoring systems
- Experience installing piling, footings, or structural supports (noise walls, guardrails, sign structures, etc.)
- Background in utility construction, power line installation, or bridge building
- Proven ability to lead field crews in outdoor, physically demanding environments
- Hands-on experience operating or supervising drill rigs and related heavy equipment
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols
