JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking to support a large health system client in a search for a Director of Facilities & Environmental Services. The incumbent is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of hospital facilities operations, with oversight of Environmental Services (EVS), Safety, and Groundskeeping. This role leads a team of approximately 25–30 employees and serves as a key partner to both regional facilities leadership and the hospital executive team. The position is primarily focused on Facilities Management (80%), with EVS oversight (20%). The schedule is 5 days per week, onsite in Castle Rock, CO. The shift is approximately 8am - 5pm, with the understanding that this role acts as the primary escalation point for off hours facilities emergencies.
Key Responsibilities Facilities Management (Primary – ~80%)
- Lead and oversee all facility operations, including building systems, utilities, preventative maintenance, life safety systems, and capital improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, NFPA)
- Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and capital planning efforts
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
- Partner closely with hospital leadership on strategic planning, space utilization, and infrastructure needs - Serve as the primary facilities liaison to hospital executives and regional leadership Environmental Services (Secondary – ~20%)
- Provide executive oversight of EVS operations, ensuring cleanliness, infection prevention, and patient safety standards are met
- Collaborate with EVS leadership to monitor performance metrics, staffing, and quality outcomes People Leadership & Operations:
- Directly manage and develop managers and frontline staff across Facilities, EVS, Safety, and Groundskeeping
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 of related experience; experience in healthcare facilities management, construction management, plant operations
- Previous environmental services experience
- Experience working with C-Suites
- Bachelor's Degree
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in a related field
- CHFM, FACHE, or other relevant professional certification
- Experience supporting hospital construction, renovations, or major capital projects
Salary : $55 - $65
