Title: DevOps Engineer
Location/Schedule: Austin TX 78728, 2-3 days per week onsite (Hybrid)
Duration: 12mo contract, potential for extensions / conversion to FTE
Interview Process: 2-3 Rounds
Start Date: 2-3 weeks after offer acceptance
Compensation: approx. $55-62/hr (L2), $62-68/hr (L3) - some flex
Must Haves
- 3-6 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer
- Expertise with Terraform & Ansible (for building and maintaining production-grade infrastructure at scale / automation within cloud infra)
- System administration background with Linux
- Experience working in an AWS and/or either Azure or GCP environment
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Gitlab runners or GitLab CI
- Basic understanding of core networking: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and cloud connectivity.

Our Cloud Infrastructure Platform Engineering team plays a pivotal role in designing and deploying robust infrastructure solutions to support products and services. We are an automation-first organization, prioritizing the deployment of all our cloud resources via automation to enhance efficiency and consistency. Our engineers collaborate closely with internal product teams to deliver adaptable and scalable code that meets the requirements of our diverse clientele. Candidates will have the opportunity to work across various cloud providers using Terraform, developing provider-agnostic infrastructure as code solutions that ensure seamless functionality across different platforms. Our client base spans local, state, and federal government agencies and private sector organizations supporting government missions.

Must Haves
- 7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps roles.
- Expertise with Terraform & Ansible (for building and maintaining production-grade infrastructure at scale / automation within cloud infra)
- Gitlab or GitHub experience
- 5 years engineering and building platforms in AWS
- 4 years of experience in Python for automation
- Experience with Ansible for CI/CD tooling and configuration management
- Basic understanding of core networking: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and cloud connectivity.
Plusses
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML tooling or leveraging generative AI to improve engineering workflows.
- Expertise designing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of producing clear technical documentation.
- Systematic problem-solving approach with a sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience working in government or regulated environments.
- HashiCorp Terraform certifications or equivalent cloud provider certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
