Data Visualization and Reporting Analyst

Position Summary

The Data Visualization & Reporting Analyst is responsible for transforming complex business data into actionable insights through impactful dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. This role serves as a strategic partner to HR, Sales, Operations, and other business stakeholders by delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting that supports data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical reporting skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences. This individual will excel at building intuitive dashboards, identifying key trends, and translating data into compelling business narratives that drive organizational performance.

This role plays a critical part in advancing the organization's reporting capabilities, ensuring data integrity, standardizing reporting processes, and enhancing how business partners leverage analytics to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Development & Data Visualization

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Create executive-level reporting that highlights key business metrics, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop visually compelling and user-friendly reporting solutions that enable stakeholders to quickly understand and act on data insights.
• Continuously improve reporting assets to enhance usability, accuracy, and business impact.

Reporting & Business Analytics

• Develop, maintain, and deliver recurring and ad hoc reports across business functions including HR, Sales, Operations, Talent, Compensation, and Leadership teams.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable recommendations.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, concise business insights tailored for non-technical audiences.
• Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, success metrics, and reporting requirements that align with business objectives.
• Present findings and recommendations to leaders and cross-functional teams.

Data Management & Quality Assurance

• Validate, consolidate, and maintain data from multiple systems and sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support data governance initiatives by establishing reporting standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Monitor data quality and proactively identify discrepancies, trends, or gaps.
• Collaborate with system owners and technical teams to improve data structures and reporting capabilities.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Serve as a trusted reporting and analytics resource for business leaders and functional teams.
• Consult with stakeholders to understand business challenges and recommend reporting and visualization solutions.
• Educate end users on dashboard functionality and self-service reporting capabilities.
• Act as a bridge between technical data teams and business users, translating business needs into reporting solutions.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in business reporting, analytics, data visualization, business intelligence, or related analytical roles.
• Strong experience building dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI platforms.
• Experience creating and presenting business insights for non-technical audiences, including executive leadership and customer-facing teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of KPI development, reporting strategy, and performance measurement.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.

Preferred

• Experience supporting Sales, HR, Operations, or other business-facing functions.
• Experience working with enterprise systems such as UKG, Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and data querying concepts.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
