Position Summary
Insight Global is seeking five Hardware Design Engineers to support a hyperscale data center program in Sullivan, Indiana. These roles will support the development, coordination, and delivery of BMS / BAS and EPMS controls hardware design packages from current design baseline through approved submittals, construction coordination, commissioning readiness, and closeout documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing controls hardware design packages for BMS, BAS, EPMS, industrial automation, or mission-critical facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, control schematics, specifications, points lists, and sequences of operation.
- Working knowledge of control panels, PLC / DDC hardware, I/O modules, field devices, instrumentation, network architecture, and low-voltage controls wiring.
- Experience coordinating with project managers, design teams, contractors, BIM/modeling resources, vendors, and commissioning teams.
- Strong attention to detail, document control discipline, and ability to manage design deliverables under aggressive project schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data center or hyperscale project experience.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ignition SCADA, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, EPMS, and BMS / BAS platforms.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination workflows, Bluebeam, Procore, SharePoint, or similar project delivery tools.
- Experience supporting 30% / 60% / 90% submittal cycles, IFC packages, as-built documentation, and commissioning deliverables.
- Knowledge of construction-phase controls coordination, vendor integration, and field issue resolution.
