Controls Engineer – Industrial AutomationTravel: 15–20% (U.S.)About the RoleWe’re partnering with a leading industrial automation company that’s building the future of automated equipment. They’re looking for a Controls Engineer to join a small, high‐impact R&D‐focused team responsible for validating new automation concepts and building early‐stage electromechanical prototypes.This is a hands‐on, highly collaborative role where you’ll work at the front end of innovation—evaluating new ideas, proving technical feasibility, and shaping next‐generation automated systems before they go to market.If you enjoy problem‐solving, building from the ground up, and seeing your ideas turn into real equipment, this role offers the opportunity to do exactly that.What You’ll Be DoingValidate and test new automated equipment concepts and technologiesDesign and develop control system architectures, including PLC programmingBuild and support specialized test equipment and electromechanical prototypesSet up, run, and document experiments to evaluate technical feasibilityCollaborate daily with cross‐functional teams including engineering, product development, and manufacturingProvide clear technical recommendations that support or challenge new product ideasRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering preferred)6 years of combined experience in controls engineering, product development, and/or machine designStrong hands‐on experience with PLC platforms such as Rockwell / Allen‐Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, or similarExperience working with industrial automation hardware and softwareAbility and willingness to travel 15–20% nationwide
Salary : $90,000 - $125,000
