Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a transformational Controller to lead accounting operations across a complex healthcare organization supporting Hospice, Home Health, PACE, Community Services, and Foundation operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will serve as the senior accounting leader responsible for improving accounting operations, strengthening internal controls, enhancing governance, and driving organizational accountability. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can assess teams and processes, build scalable accounting functions, improve close timelines, and lead a high-performing accounting organization across a large multi-entity healthcare environment. This company is approximately $600M-$650M in annual revenue, and approximately $1.2B including acquired entities and iSNP operations. This Controller will oversee accounting operations across multiple business lines with significant intercompany accounting activity and responsibility for leading a team of accounting leaders.
Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Active CPA license
• 8-10 years of accounting experience
• Previous Controller or VP of Finance experience with leadership responsibility for financial reporting and accounting operations
• Proven experience leading accounting organizations, managing Directors and accounting leadership teams, and developing high-performing teams
• Transformational leadership experience evaluating accounting organizations, strengthening accountability, improving team performance, and leading organizational change
• Healthcare accounting experience (hospice, home health, PACE, senior care, human services, nonprofit healthcare, hospital systems, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, governance, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance
• Experience leading month-end close, consolidations, account reconciliations, audit support, financial statement preparation, and intercompany accounting
• Experience supporting large, complex organizations with multiple entities, service lines, acquisitions, and accounting teams
• Proven experience improving accounting operations, strengthening controls, and building scalable processes within complex organizations
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to assess teams, workflows, and accounting operations
ERP experience including Workday Financials, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar enterprise accounting systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Nonprofit accounting experience, including fund accounting and donor-restricted funds
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Public accounting experience
• Experience with cost reports, grant reporting, donor-restricted funds, and healthcare regulatory reporting
• Experience supporting foundations, philanthropy, grants, or donor-funded programs
• Strong Workday Financials experience
• Strong Adaptive Insights experience
• Expertise in reporting, allocations, financial hierarchies, consolidations, and process optimization
• Healthcare foundation or healthcare nonprofit accounting experience
Experience reducing close timelines and improving accounting department efficiency
