Job Description: Mid-Level Business Analyst

About the Role

In this role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements supporting critical external data acquisition, content processing, and information delivery capabilities. You will work closely with technology teams to design and enhance data-driven solutions, integrations, and services that support key business objectives while ensuring scalability, quality, and operational efficiency. Your analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements and documentation will be critical to the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and engineering for the successful execution, testing, and implementation of system enhancements, including supporting new project initiatives along with maintenance of existing applications.
• Analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements for application enhancements and new technology solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to define and document API requirements, data mappings, integration workflows, and system interfaces.
• Work with internal and external partners to support RESTful API integrations, troubleshoot data exchange issues, and validate end-to-end system functionality.
• Participate in API and integration testing activities, including reviewing test cases and validating business requirements.
• Leverage analytics solutions to provide data-driven recommendations aimed at improving metrics standardization and overall business performance reporting.
• Manage change requests, identify supporting requirements, and create internal documentation, process flows, and workflow diagrams to expand organizational knowledge.
• Ensure requirements, solution designs, and product outcomes are aligned to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
• Analyze existing systems and business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and evaluate technical and business impacts of proposed solutions.
• Work across remote development teams, internal IT, quality assurance, operations, and third-party vendors to ensure project requirements are met.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, any field.
• Must have at least 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Previous experience of working in an agile environment and using recognized development methodology e.g., Agile, scrum or kanban along with specific tools such as JIRA or TFS.
• Extensive experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements for APIs and system integrations.
• Experience in supporting larger technology initiatives during the entire development cycle.

• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Show ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner and to present information appropriate to the level of the audience.
• Ability to work with management and product teams to translate high-level business plans into action steps and reporting solutions and transform into comprehensive requirements/acceptance criteria.
• Strong Understanding of API concepts integrations, data flows, and application architecture.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and deductive reasoning skills along with sound organizational and project management skills.
• Process mapping and workflow development and maintenance experience desirable.
