What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boiler Technician position at Insight Global?
Day-to-Day:
- Lead, mentor, and support OCC mechanics through technical guidance and hands-on training
- Serve as the shop floor lead and primary point of contact for mechanics
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily work to ensure project deadlines are met
- Perform and oversee repair and maintenance activities on industrial equipment
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards
- Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety policies
- Lead by example in proper PPE usage and safe equipment handling
- Coordinate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues
- Monitor workflow efficiency and identify process improvements
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused team environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operations
